Church Finds Lewd, Threatening Messages: Mount Joy Borough Police

A Lancaster man with a long history of harassment-related charges is accused of bombarding a Mount Joy church with obscene voicemails and threats, police announced on Thursday, Feb. 6.

Crist Allen Wolf, 67, allegedly called a church on the 800 block of Bruce Avenue and left more than 30 messages containing profane and vulgar language over several weeks, Mount Joy Borough police said.

Investigators did not disclose the content of the messages or the church’s name, but Google Maps shows the only church in the area to be "Florin Church".

Wolf has an extensive criminal record, including multiple convictions for Harassment – Communicates Lewd, Threatening, Etc. Language, Terroristic Threats, and False Alarms to Agencies of Public Safety, dating back to at least 1996. His record includes guilty pleas to multiple harassment-related offenses in 2000, 2006, 2007, 2017, and 2018, with sentences ranging from probation to months of confinement.

Wolf was arrested on Monday, Feb. 4, and charged with misdemeanor Harassment – Communicates Lewd, Threatening, Etc. Language, authorities said.
